Creating a Page

Creating a Template
Templates are reusable pages that can be added to multiple articles to provide consistent formatting, layouts, or information. To create a template, create a new page in the Template:TEMPLATE_NAME (for example, Template:Infobox) and add the desired content and formatting. Templates can include parameters that allow users to customize specific parts of the template when it is added to a page. Before creating a new template, check if a similar one already exists to avoid unnecessary duplicates. When making templates, ensure they are well-documented, easy to use, and follow the wiki's formatting standards.
Linking pages
To link a page to a word, you need to include two square brackets at the start and at the end, just like this PAGE_NAME_HERE. This syntax—commonly known as a wiki-link—tells the system to convert the enclosed text into an internal hyperlink leading straight to that document. If you want the link to display a different word in your sentence without changing the target destination, you can append a pipe symbol followed by your chosen label, like custom text. In most modern note-taking apps, using this bracket shortcut not only connects your existing notes, but typing a title that doesn't exist yet will automatically create a brand-new page for you the moment you click it.
Editing a country Infobox
To modify this country infobox template, simply edit the text appearing to the right of the equals sign (=) for each specific parameter without changing the labels on the left. You can replace place names, government titles, or dates, and apply standard wiki-linking around terms you want connected to dedicated pages. If a field isn't needed or you don't have the data yet, such as coordinates, you can leave the right side blank or remove that line entirely; conversely, adding new parameters recognized by the template follows the exact same | parameter_name = value format.
