The Lego Space Programm (LSP) is an independent agency of the Legolandian federal government responsible for the Legolandian' civil space program, as well as research in aeronautics and space. Headquartered in Lego City, LSP operates ten field centers across Legolandia and is organized into three mission directorates: Human Spaceflight, Research and Technology, and Science.
Successful launches
Legollo 11

One of the most significant milestones in LSP's history occurred in 1969 with the launch of Legollo 11, the mission that achieved the organization's first crewed landing on the Moon. Commanded by Neil Legstrong, with Lila Corven serving as flight pilot and Daro Venn as Mission Specialist, the mission brought LSP international recognition and established it as a credible force in space exploration. While Venn remained aboard the spacecraft during the lunar landing, Legstrong became the first person to walk on the Moon and famously declared, “One small step for a builder, one giant leap for Legolandia.” Beyond its symbolic importance, the mission produced valuable scientific results through the collection of lunar soil samples and the deployment of instruments to study seismic activity and solar radiation. The success of Legollo 11 marked the beginning of a period of rapid growth for LSP, inspiring further innovation in spacecraft design, navigation, life-support systems, and propulsion technology, while enabling the organization to pursue increasingly ambitious missions deeper into space.
Artelis III

Artelis III, launched on April 6, 2026, represents the most recent mission of LSP and marks a major milestone in the organization's history. The mission has attracted significant public and scientific interest, as it symbolizes humanity’s return to the Moon after more than five decades. Following a year-long preparation period, the spacecraft departed at 2:00 PM GMT and began a three-day journey toward lunar orbit. Equipped with advanced propulsion systems and supported by the specially designed Legand Lander, the mission aims to conduct a precise lunar landing and a ten-day scientific campaign on the Moon’s surface. Beyond its technical achievements, Artelis III is widely regarded as the beginning of a new era for the Lego Space Program, building upon the legacy of earlier missions such as Legollo 11. Through scientific research, technology testing, and continuous communication with Earth, the mission is expected to provide valuable data for future lunar exploration, including improvements in landing systems, habitat design, and long-term survival techniques, while laying the groundwork for more ambitious missions and potential permanent human presence on the Moon.
